So when I was looking for an essence I was looking to use a pretty high quality one. I had found this product from Secret Key that not many people had actually reviewed it. I wanted to try out because of it's supposed effects on the skin due to the gold inside the product. I heard many good things about gold and the benefits it has for skin so I thought why not. I come to find that I have mixed opinions about it.

Packaging:

The packaging is BEAUTIFUL. The gold top and matte finished glass bottle is elegant. You can see the gold pieces inside and it looks like a high end product. The 24k gold theme is just eye catching and partly the reason as to why I bought it. What makes it such a downer is the dang opening. You have to shake it so much just to get a good amount on your palm! There is a clear plastic rim going around the opening with a small hole in the center. I first thought that it would come out easily where it would just run out into my hand. This was not the case. I was shaking it so many times just to get anything out and what's worse is that the gold particles barely come out. You may get 2-5 out with 5 being a very very rare occurrence. And let me just say that they are absolutely tiny compared to the photos on the product page. It was rather disappointing and I blame the way the packaging of the product was made.

Product:

The product has a little gel consistency to it but it is runny. It's also hard to control how much is coming out as mentioned above. There are times where I have had no gold show up in the product itself. Then when I do happen to see some I will pat it in my face and it will disappear. Sadly it is more with just two gold particles showing. I tend to have excess that I will have to wash off because of its sticky after effect. It feels like it takes a good bit before the product absorbs and feels a little sticky on my skin but not too much. The scent is a little artificial and I cant exactly tell what it reminds me of but it is scented. I don't see major improvement but my skin feels more hydrated. I have used for about two to three weeks and just notice a brighter complexion but this can come from all the products I'm using. I do feel that it does help though. I'm just not exactly sure if I'd come back to this essence.

Final Thoughts:

I'm not very impressed and though the packaging was just downright beautiful I'm convinced there are better essences out there for me. I do have alot of product left so I will continue to use it and hope for more improvement in my skin. For now I won't say it's a holy grail product or one I'd recommend to others.
