This eyeliner is of dark brown color. Even though, it seems light in natural lighting, normally it looks like faded black. But still brings softer and more natural vibe than usual black. It doesn't smudge. Stays pretty well throughout crying. One downside - if you try to layer while correcting or trying to make the color more opaque, it starts crusting causing flaking. So application can be patchy. All in all, application is tricky and takes time but color is really cute and staying power is fine.
