I am not sure whether it is actually doing anything brightening wise as I am using it together with other niacinamide and vitamin C products. For a sleeping pack it doesn't feel too heavy but it does not offer enough moisture by itself for my dry skin, so I have to combine it with another pack. I was aware of it, however, and purchase it specifically for this.
