The wand itself is pretty awkward - scoops way more mascara than needed, therefore leaves lashes clumped, spidery (you will need to comb them after that). Mascara doesn't hold the curl at all but it doesn't flake. After a while you can make them look good but it takes more work than with a good mascara.
