I purchased a couple of gel liners to find one that works the most effectively. This eyeliner is soft and glides on smoothly, and has really good color pay-off. I purchased V1 Brownie (no pearl), and it's a matte dark brown color.

Pros:

- Auto liner, so it's not a pencil that you have to shave to get it out

- Really soft and creamy

- Colors are true to item

Cons:

- "Shaving" the gel liner is difficult, it's a bit easy to break the eyeliner inside

- It's a bit thick
